HOTREC represents the hospitality industry before the European institutions. Our role: modernise its digital platforms — public site and secure intranet — to structure communication with its member federations and reinforce its position as an influential leader.
HOTREC (hotrec.eu) is the European confederation of hotels, restaurants and cafés. Based in Brussels, it brings together the sector's national associations across Europe and represents their voice before the European Union institutions — Commission, Parliament, rotating presidencies.
For a federation of federations, two digital interfaces are strategic: a public site that expresses its position and statements, and an intranet that structures collaboration with its members.
By analysing the challenges HOTREC faced, we identified the opportunities of a joint modernisation of the website and the intranet.
The stakes were not cosmetic. It was about refreshing the visual look and optimising the user experience across both platforms to reinforce HOTREC's position as an influential leader — while making collaboration easier within its member network.
A strategic overhaul, not a cosmetic update. Two platforms designed as one system.
No experimental stack. Solid, documented building blocks, with maintenance guaranteed for 10 years.
The HOTREC case illustrates what Andromede brings to European confederations and professional federations: the ability to deliver a coherent digital system — public and internal — designed for organisations that speak on behalf of an entire sector.
No gap between the image projected outward and internal effectiveness. No scattering across ten providers. One approach, one point of contact, one technical foundation — that last.
